I'm happy enough. Sheer luck gave us a belting return last year, the current return is also down to (bad) luck and I'm putting the communications and finance / filing issues down to growing pains and the fact that they are enthusiastic engineers / cooperators rather than professional financiers.

I'll shan't complain if any of Joeboys shares get offered to me...
p.s. the other thing I meant to say was that my whole portfolio is still only a pretty paltry sum.

After last months low wind, capacity factor's for Nov are now in and as forecasted, its a grim month with continued low wind resource. If it was not for Storm Bert, both would have ended well below 50% of baseline.

GF is 50% down on baseline.

KH is a little better at 40% down on baseline.

We had the GF AGM earlier tonight, two main concerning points,

1) Sarah thinks zonal pricing is likely to come in and be announced first quarter of next year. For GF it might not affect it much and it might even enhance DW, but KH and WB will likely suffer. It seems to be a cheap political solution rather than building out the grid infrastructure to move the power southwards.

2) Quite concerning is a fundamental review on Coop's especially about defining what is and what is not a Coop. Also setting limits on the max returns a Coop can deliver. I.e. if the leccy price goes up, excess savings might go to charity, as they currently do with other Community Energy Benefit Coop's. Also maybe being paid a dividend of the surplus based upon your own consumption to counter excessive ownership.

I really hate all this retrospective stuff. Recent pension stuff being another one.

What's the point in planning for your future as once they've got you they then hammer you.

I was triggered into taking my 25% tax free on my pensions by the threat of the govt grab. In the end it didn't materialise but tax on pensions after death did or will.

I'm ok with that as we were spurred on to conjure the cash forth rather than just watching numbers tick up (boring).

So far we've acted on the ashp, 3g, the van and bunged the kids ten grand each. The rest is in best interest I could find monthly paying accounts. I meet a lot of people who didn't really bother with pensions and I'm very, very glad that I did. Not for the material things but to have control going forward when you step out of the machine. Having money means you can effect change when you need to, relying on the state?...

As to the post mortem tax...I'll use the coming decades (inshallah) to pad out the kids ISA's and if there's a lot left in pensions I'll be on a last trip to London to buy 250g bullion bars. The money stays in the family.

Chard's in Blackpool are a lot closer to you and they are also absolutely open and transparent about their charges... (and they have worked out how to get the postal service to work.) Have a look online.

I cant say any of this, nor reading the negatives recently about Ripple in this thread, which months ago all seemed quite positive, are creating the warm and fuzzies.
Ive only invested in WB so far, was late to the party, but roped my dad in which is more upsetting to me than losing my own investment.

Do you have any more info on what zonal pricing would look like or how it would work Nowty?

It seems that the goalposts constantly shift to the detriment of us mortal investors with Ripple, even in the short time since signing up.
Is having money in this still a good idea?!
