16.2mph down there, 8.7mph up here. Unashamedly excited! :)
and nice and steady for the whole of the rest of the week too. Perfect for commissioning and running in...
Wonder if there will be any money back in April, or whether it will be May before we see it?

I spoke too soon... Gales forecast now! - Except that the BBC forecast for Pontypridd shows nothing higher than 19mph in the week. Anyone got a better location to put in to the BBC website? I have tried Tonyrefail but it looks no different.

This is the last comm I got from Sarah,

'We are expecting the turbine to be connected to the grid on 6th March, at this point the pre-commissioning tests can begin. From the 8th the turbine should be able to export, albeit not at full output for a few days. By 14th March it should be operating and exporting at full output. We are planning a 'switch on' event around that time. You'll get an email about that shortly.'

They hit the first date so with fortune should be turning today and outputting which will i'm sure be metered and we'll catch up to our bits of it later. I'm a simple man, just looking forward to seeing the blades rotate. I hope they eventually webcam the site. I have it peaking at 20.5mph at midday today. I use this post code, CF39 8DJ

From the interweb i gleaned these rough wind speeds for operation. Very generic yet somewhere to hang our collective hats.

Saw that! Hopefully the switch on of WT1 and the war in Ukraine will boost uptake of WT2. If it doesn't its just confirmation of the sheeplike att.

Supposed to be the last day of commissioning for WT1 today.

I wonder if we start clocking up rebate immediately or whether there is a particular date or event where Octopus have to agree the actual export meter reading for the start of the power purchase agreement.
