Export meter installation

I have a 11kW Evoco turbine installed at a holiday cottage back in 2012 or so. At the time I didn't bother installing an export meter, as I was happy with the FIT.
Has anyone had an export meter fitted recently and could talk me through the process? Is it done by electricity (FIT) supplier, by grid co, or by an independent.
