The scale of this stuff is pretty amazing, to someone that's never had anything to do with offshore stuff. I'd imagine that the levelling and compaction of the seabed gravel layer mentioned must be pretty critical. Not as if you can just put shims under that 4,800 tonne foundation to get it nice and level!
