And just like that, we now have the first 18MW+ turbine platform.
A rotor diameter of almost 300m. That's just insane!

And soon to have an even bigger one with a 320m rotor.

Icarus / hubris?
The bigger they come, the harder they fall!
2.0 kW/4.62 MWhr pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWhr batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWhr pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!

I wonder where the limit is?
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
5x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (12kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger

(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)

Projects I've worked on are expecting up to 24MW by 2030.

If the arms race doesn't end soon, all the Western turbine manufaturers will end up going bust.

My guess is that offshore crane height will eventually be what slows things down. Lifting hundreds of tonnes hundreds of metres in the air is a challenge. Also, floating foundations in the 20MW+ scale are already pretty hefty ~5000 tonnes.
