Must be quite small turbines by latest standards. 9MW?

I wondered whether
The milestone, which had originally been due last year but held up due to various challenges including on the project’s electrical system, paves the way to full commissioning in 2025.
When complete, the wind farm will consist of 54 Siemens Gamesa turbines.
was hinting at an older design, or even if it is situated somewhere so wild that smaller turbines might have been seen as more resilient?
Not that it seems to be located anywhere exceptional...
2.0 kW/4.62 MWh pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWh batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWh pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!

The 450MW wind farm was originally to have 75 smaller turbines (6MW ?) but consent was granted by Scottish Ministers in 2018 to change the configuration to 54 higher power ones generating the same power.

In comparison with the larger Hornsea and Dogger Bank projects,
Hornsea 1 has 7MW turbines
Hornsea 2 has 8.4MW turbines
Hornsea 3 will have 14MW turbines
Dogger Bank will have 13MW turbines.
18.7kW PV > 109MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 26MWh generated
5 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
60kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 510 m3

And 26MW ones are in early prodction. Three times the capacity of these. Staggering.

It's an old project with a troubled history. Was granted a CfD in Allocation Round 1 back in 2015 with a targeted commissioning date of 2019. Delays to construction starting then hit by supply chain issues and covid-19.
