Plans for Ireland's first offshore wind farm off the West coast submitted.
Guess I just assumed they'd already got offshore wind off the Emerald Isle, but then maybe not? Very deep waters out there?

Looking at the maps i think they are mounted on rocks which may even be exposed? The downside seems to be the distance from civilisation but perhaps they do not bother about pylons in Ireland.
