Exporting to Norway

I notice that we are exporting about 500MW to Norway at present, first time I have seen any export to Norway. We are also exporting to France (2GW) and also to Netherlands and Belgium (100MW & 250MW respectively). Coal going at 1.5GW and OCGT also running, is there a shortage in Europe?

See we are using hydro and pumped so perhaps we are getting ready for the big blow and rain and going to use that to replenish reserves. CCGT isnt low though. :(

maybe related:
I saw that the Swedes have cancelled passenger train services in some remote areas because of sustained cold below minus 30 degrees. Not that the trains can't cope, but if anything goes wrong with the infrastructure they don't want to have to rescue lots of people from the middle of nowhere where there are no roads.
Freight is still running as drivers have special supplies and extra clothing on board, and it's not difficult to rescue 2 or 3 people by helicopter!

updates:
-43.8° recorded elsewhere in Norrbotten today; the coldest December temperature in Sweden for 35 years. Stay safe and stay snug!
-16 here in Stockholm, nice and toasty
Might explain Norway's import - even if they are just passing it on!

I was in Stokhom in 2010 when it was -20℃. That was horrific. Impossible to do anything outside even for short periods.

I cannot even imagine -40℃!
