The Scottish Crown Estate has just awarded offshore leases for a whopping 25GW of new wind, including a lot of floating wind farms.
Wow.

It's through energy4all that I accessed Kinlochbervie hydroturbine investment. Will keep an ear open on this one too. Kinlochbervie is a direct investment paying a traditional annual return(well it will when it finally gets going). I actually prefer Ripples method by far although I suppose one can only invest so much in Ripples current consumption % limitation.
Nonetheless, glad to see BP & Shell there too and heavily. In addition I have SSE in the portfolio so good to go on this.

There's also this from BP, Great to read that they are keeping the work in Aberdeen. I might come out of retirement for this!

There has just been a newsletter from Energy4all saying,
We are also working on the £150m “Scotwind” offshore wind project, this long-term undertaking aims to create community ownership of three offshore turbines.
I note that they were partnered with "Falck Renewables" which did wind several of the Scotwind bids, unlike Ripple who backed the wrong horse (Nextgen).

Beautiful! I'll be in there.
As you'll maybe know Hywind is up there off the Fraserburgh coast. Its the leader in UK wind for performance. Glad to be in the same area. I am amped for this on many levels incl Post mort.
