Switzerland opens new pumped hydro

The trail, with extended round circuit bike if you wish, good views, vertical park, dam parking etc.
30 minutes by car from chamonix centre, I don't recommend cycling TO the site, twisty switch-backs, & some fast driving along this connecting corridor between the Swiss canton of valais & savoir regions, it's the only time we have Tokyo drifted (a roundabout) to avoid a pile up (further along on the Swiss valley floor) folk champ the bit to speed up along this route.

Good place to pack a picnic or use the restaurant at the dam for the less inclined / mobile / flat-landers.

If passing through, there is a small display centre of the dam (not the main tourist centre) at the border station, opposite the fibreglass dinosaur.
