IIRC something of this type was trialled in the UK but the mounting brackets where a weak point and kept fracturing? I think the other problem was finding low enough tidal ranges that didn't affect their operation.

Maybe they will fair better in Turkey as the waves are smaller and more consistent and the tidal range is less around the Med isnt it ?

The Med is indeed a calmer sea, it can still get quite tasty, 7 mtr seas etc. Shortlived though. In my wee village in Turkey there are around about three big Winter storms, quite exciting, hailstones the size of golf balls and crazy thunder n lightning but a magnitude less than North sea storms in the energy that hits the shore. Glad to see its going in though.

It does doesn't it. :D

I've absolutely loved the offshore life, the challenges, the experiences and rewards. The dark side of it came out again this morning as yet another took himself off the gaming board too early due to chronic pain. This one was very close to us, so much so that the day started with a screaming phonecall to come and help. Too late we were.....
That wee gadgie in the photo is living a life few get to. Good on 'im. Fuck the potential outcomes.
