It looks to me as if it is just a substation ready to take inputs from tidal generators.
Nothing about any generators being constructed to join up to it.
Or have I missed something?

From what I understand its set up as a kind of test bed zone for tidal turbine manufacturers to come and site their equipment for testing or maybe small commercial operations etc.

Living in the area I can attest to the fact that the tidal races in this area are reliably strong so hopefully they will attract some turbines soon.

That should reliably reduce the carbon intensity in Moxi’land, but you’ll need to watch the tide tables as well as the weather forecast.

We already have the tide tables on our phones as the boys love to go in to Caernarfon, Porthmadog and Barmouth to go crabbing, although for Caernarfon all we really need to do is look out the window to see the state of the tide.
It will be interesting to see how they get on and how much interest they have from tidal turbine companies.
