Replacing wood stove glass

#1

Post by Sunrisemike »

There is a small crack in the corner of the glass. I'm pretty sure I replaced it years ago with ordinary glass and it has survived all of these years. When I search on line, it seems to be a no no to spend a fiver on ordinary plate glass, when you could spend shed loads on special stove glass. Any suggestions please?

Measure up & order a proper piece you TIghtwad 8-)

...Then wait till it truly gives up the ghost but means you are prepped in case it goes over a burn season without delay... cos i'm "careful" y'see 😂

Words are water off a ducks back, however the withering look from cold partners (regardless of DIY ingenuity & longevity of service) isr more biting than the wind atop of aviemore's ski hills.
