I'm looking for max heat transfer so a snug fit with mucho surface area contact is a prerequisite. I wonder who I know with a tig welder? Could bastardise a cheap commercial twin fan unit into what I'd like. 🤔
I got one of these from Lidl the other day, £15 half price till the 8th December.

I first saw them in King St. on 27th Nov. went in again on 1st Dec. but none on show, went back on 4th Dec. and there was one but had a bent fan blade, 50% off so took it.
You never know one might reappear! :FP:

Mind you if everybody was to believe this Sun article I'm not surprised they sold out.

Turns out that time was lieing on.my fat ass on the couch. Bought a box open drochars flue mounted mounted single blade fan. £27.81 incl delivery.

We'll see how it performs on a 7" twinwall flue. Having it in place will hopefully add to the shove of the current single fan.
If not, back it goes and the borg mind will have learned something about twinwall flues and flue fans.

Regardless, I still have tig envy Ian. :praise:

Seeing 103 degs around where I'd mount it. I'll be interested to see if at that low temp a useable rpm can be relied on from the fan. Can ho lower but I'd like to keep the bottom of fan rotation a couple of "'s above pot height.
