Flexi solar panels

#1

Post by Joeboy »

Working on the Bongo today in prep for Europe in June. A tidy 18.5V showing earlier which surely beats the 14.2V max shown when its the alternator running. It's great to be thinking of hols!

Most important job complete, drop in fridge test run on beer n cider chilling complete, pretty damn off grid if I say so myself. Fridge running and battery not dropping at all. :)

Nothing happier than a cold can of cider 😁 is that a single panel glued to the roof then ? I’ve never looked at flexible panels

Yep, works well for running the fridge, tunes, lights. :)

Although it's task specific, no cooling to the rear and the flexi ones are dearer I think than a similar rigid.

It looks like a very neat job and unobtrusive on the top of the van - nice.

Add two hub motors a few more panels and a bigger battery and you would have a hybrid

Loved the windy miller vid
