Wife's New Toy - XC40 Recharge

My wife decided that she didn't want the liability of a car needing unplanned maintenance, so her 6 year old XC60 had to go. She's a midwife, so gets some pretty decent Salary Sacrifice deals. This beauty ended up costing her £364 less a month in her pay packet which compared to loan payments on her XC60 and fuel etc, this was a no brainer. It also helped that the XC60 had gone down in value by £500 in 3 years.

I tried to convince here to get the 408 BHP Recharge Twin, but the lead time was a killer. She could have got a lower trim one for the same monthly cost, as well which is upsetting.

She's only driven it round the block but initial thoughts are positive.

We really wanted a white one, but as this was a "special offer" we were more limited to colour options. It came a month early though, so can't complaint too much.

Nice. It's basically the same machine as the Polestar 2, just without having been squashed!

That looks great. When my wife's job goes from consulting to salary, she's looking at leasing an EV and most likely a Jaguar iPace. After looking at the leasing options, there's so little salary sacrifice for EV's and payments are taken pre-tax, it really does look like a very good deal.
6kw PV (24 x REC Solar AS REC 250PE)
Clausius 5-25kw GSHP
Luxpower Squirrel Pod

2 x Woodwarm stoves
7 acres of old coppice woodland
Ripple Kirk Hill 3.8kw
Ripple Derril Water 3.963 kW
