The video is well worth watching - although the sound is a bit ropey - I think they said it's a 250KW DC charger delivered by a pantograph for a 10min splash-and-dash during the day?

Re: Electric Bus Conductors return
That's a neat solution to top up charging. 20 miles range gained in a ten minute top up charge seems ideal, as I doubt that London buses do a huge mileage each day. Main issue is going to be getting power to top up charge points, but the chances are that some stops, like those at railway stations, might well make good top up charging locations. Buses also tend to stop for longer at stations, too, so it may well be that top up charging would have little or no impact on scheduling.

Re: Electric Bus Conductors return
It is clever. No moving parts on every bus exposed to weather and vibration, but just one "upside-down" pantograph (2 contactors) serving loads of buses, shielded from the weather and presumably quite easily swapped out for repair or overhaul.
I like it.
