Ubitricity introduces smart charging tariff
Re: Ubitricity introduces smart charging tariff
Makes sense to put more chargers in general where there are more EVs, no?

Re: Ubitricity introduces smart charging tariff
Don't get me wrong dan, if it is normal times then I'd say "fair enough" to whichever council, however these are extraordinary times with more & more shortages with BEV uptake limiting power, just like a hospital appointment with a 2 year waiting list, or treatment within 10 days if you can travel up the road a bit (across county borders, to a different health region) ..& right now the NHS aint talking to other areas in order to get treatment numbers up, lists down, the same will go for councils.that simply shrug & say "we tried" because they don't explore options & collaborate.
So in these times if there is 2/3 more ev outside of london spread that 2/3 ..it's common sense of the ground workings & permits can be put in place.
but furthermore explain to the public the timeline & give take rather than "gimme" & stuff everyone else.
It's how we got the tesla network, & a connectivity project with merit.
Its fine to say there are grants for other areas but if no stock due to shortages then the available money window can easily evaporate, ditto procesing, ..especially if we look over our shoulder.at.the complete bollock ache of "the green deal"

Re: Ubitricity introduces smart charging tariff
Ubitricity has installed over 6,000 lamppost chargers in the UK already. Those are not all in London by any means. And there are other kerbside chargers too from other manufacturers like Char.gy and Connected Kerb who are signing up contracts in other local authorities across the UK.
