Asides from the insight as to how much fuel the place consumes & from where, price asides, what do you think is going on at heathrow? (who still have not returned to profit since covid, no premium pay outs this year)!
I'm not aware of supply issues (considering the airport has its own dedicated pipeline from the refinery) strikes, etc, so with what reasoning are they instructing planes to"fly heavy" ?
As it comes direct & is a going concern, the daily requirements will be factored in as a % of daily production, so what's the rub?

Gov intelligence will know something and i dont expect them to tell us. Just as eg the no oil crowd could be planning something, there is no doubt the authorities will have a mole there.

There was a recent warning of a high(er) risk of some form of attack by who knows who. That may well be part of the reason?

That makes them "mercenary" then, close to terrorist classification if we use the Wagner group principal !?
At the time of early morning posting (rough night) it didn't occur to me that Stop Oil / XR might be planning anything (or wider circle, darker types) However, because the majority of fuel is straight from the refinery (just how long is that pipeline then)!? the impact should be minimal, it makes me wonder as to fuel bunds in situ at heathrow (presumably copious & underground) to see out hiccups? & therefore front gate disruption would be public but minimal theoretically.
XR / Stop oil (& i'm not classifying them as one & the same type) would surely be better off blocking off more roads to the drop off areas (but pee more people off as a result) so I cannot see it being them really as disruption can easily occur at many points.

Is it not more likely that an incident at Heathrow could cause runway cosures and would result in significant delays to landing, as such the planes would need more fuel to circle/divert as even other nearby airports might have consequntial delays.

Bearing in mind how "ghost" drones were reported & panicked uk airports (lockdown or thereabouts)? ..I'd have thought that to keep people out of costly court cases.anonymous drone disturbances would likely be planned as brief but clearly disruptive demonstrations latterly claimed by a group, ..a modern resource. which has proven to put airports on high alert previously.
