I enjoyed it Dan. Also watched some vids looking into the numbers given by Tesla. Looks like the 300 mile range tractor is ~1,000kg heavier than a common diesel, and the 500 mile range is ~2,000kg heavier. So that's covered by the EU BEV 'bonus' of 2,000kg.

I wonder how much weight will be shed over the next decade as batts get more energy dense.

And we have Mercedes/Freightliner and Volvo, also churning out lots of BEV trucks.

Also, given that ~80% of trips in Europe and in the US are under 250 miles, it looks like BEV trucking is entirely viable. That's a lot more diesel that can be replaced, especially given the great news in the article you posted about London diesel consumption.
