Had a meeting in Peterborough this morning & noted that the cars were driving S-L-O-W (ly) up the A1 ..something to do with petrol on a nigh on 20 year high maybe?

They were certainly driving slowly on the London-bound M3 this morning - but that was more to do with a stranded vehicle in lane one just 100 metres away from a crashed vehicle in lane 4. Which on an "all lane running" SMART Motorway meant that no one was going anywhere at all. The tailback was at least 10 miles.
