BEVs to now pay road tax, and it's back-datable
Re: BEVs to now pay road tax, and it's back-datable
I think I should have had a notification to tax a fiat 500e last month but haven’t received anything

"Actually you don't even need to do a SORN and then re-tax, you just re-tax it again using your Reg and V5 ref online."
Epic tip. I have just taxed all 3 EV's up to Oct 24

Should be 2025 ! Doh.
Re: BEVs to now pay road tax, and it's back-datable
Fearing the government might stop this re-taxing loophole as we approach April 2025, I've just re-taxed both our EV's again (for nada), it still works.

Re: BEVs to now pay road tax, and it's back-datable
Yes until early March because if you re-tax it before its due, the date always goes back to the 1st of the month so there is no point waiting until 31st March 2025 as the tax will still expire 1st March 2026.
But it still gets you up to 11 months extra at the zero rate.

Re: BEVs to now pay road tax, and it's back-datable
Just retaxed our two cars for £0 a piece…
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
5x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (12kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger
(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)
