Eer so what, you actually carry the type 2 charging unit around with you?

Well we have our Type 2 cables yes, but it seems to be the unit the customer has is basically the entire charger?

Ubitricity went away from this model years ago - they first launched with their "smart cable".

Can't see how this works long-term.

I think I read something about this a while back and the upstand post and connector is carried around by the car owner and slots into the socket in the pavement you then plug in your type 2 cable and the charge - charging locks the whole assembly in place until you stop the charge - iirc.

It looks to me as if the cable and charger adapter are permanently connected and thus the car owner needs to carry two cables around. (Or three with a granny charger).
