I'm now extra excited for France Trip. SWMBO scored us a small 2 person four leg collapsible BBQ from Marketplace for £12. It fits in the rear external toolchest so no mess inside the habitation.

I have this vision in my mind, on site, been for a walk into village got two steaks (Moo nae whinny), come back, Radio France is on and i fire up the charcoal, glass of red, chat. That is my version of perfect. 8-) :xl:

Halfway down pub stop, ferry and first 3 days in France booked. :D

Further testing of van went on yesterday evening. Even past 18.00hrs there is enough Irradiation when reasonable weather to run the fridge without troubling the battery.

SWMBO helped in the testing!

Booked a pub carpark stopover for Sunday run halfway down. Nice big waterfall close by. It has been a great 6 months, list making and improving Ermintrude as we go. SWMBO was sitting in there last night, completely relaxed and enjoying the whole thing. That will make for an epic holiday.

He'll, I've even satnavved the 1st hypermarche.

Just been to fill fuel tank (weird), looking forward to the drive down to Penrith(ish). Overnighter at the excellently name Hi Force hotel....car park.

Looks like the weather on the continent is favourable.

P.S How much stuff does one SWMBO really need for a couple of weeks?

The thought of visiting a petrol station seems strange!

I swapped the petrol strimmer for a battery one to avoid having to fill a can!
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
6x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (14.4kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger

(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)

It is strange and I don't like it at all. Needs must n all that. Light of foot and currently in the Pennines heading for a trio carvery at 7pm. Will fuel around Dover tomorrow and hopefully that will do for the run out. Not heading to Spain now as it's too many miles in a short window. Cheers!

Outstanding countryside across Northumbria and Cumbria. Really beautiful, nice to heat the accent again. :D

Fridge is packed out and operating well. LB is near as damn it fully charged. :xl:
