Porsche on track for 40,000 Taycans

I know it's a very expensive, very fast, exclusive luxo-car. But it's now Porsche's top-selling CAR (as opposed to SUV), and it looks like they're doubling its production to 40,000 units for 2021.

So what you might say, because of the above. But I think it's important to realise that that means its taking sales from expensive gas guzzling turbo V8s, both from Porsche, but also from BMW and Mercedes I would imagine. So that can only be a good thing. And it will make those companies sit up and notice where the sales are going - ie not just to Tesla (and therefore obviously completely dismissable!), but to battery electric in general.
