I would have thought that 20 miles are too short for an accurate prediction.
There are two many variables which need to be taken into account.
Heaviness of the right foot
Outside air temperature
Weather - rain or high pressure reduces the range
Payload
Average speed
etc
I had a software upgrade for my ID4 last month and after that I noticed an improved economy in a regular drive from London to Lymington. It was the first time ever that the range at the end of the journey was more that the range at the start less the distance travelled. Quite amazing.

I am not doing a prediction of range, I am merely attempting to measure the current size of the gross battery capacity following another's method to find how much the battery has aged and therefore how much capacity has been lost. The car can tell you the range, whether its right or wrong who knows, and they tend to be more on the conservative side. You will only find out its wrong if its too optimistic when the car stops before you get to 0%.
But if you can work out the actual battery capacity you have, then measure it again in similar conditions you can work out whether you really have more potential range or not which is what the OP was talking about. Has he actually gained more capacity out of the battery pack by charging it regularly to 100% or not.

Wondering if any one has that ScanMyTesla App and the ODB adapter which TeslaBjorn uses on all his videos? That's probably the easiest way to see what's going on?
