Yup, all of the aforementioned, it is noticeable in the drone frequency of fans I have pointing at the ceiling.

it usually craps out on the 4th consecutive day, but with the new homes it's russian roulette as to what the local substation will give & take before it craps out.

#countrylife, what with all the Londoners pushed out & forcibly "relocated" here, & dumped on our local gvt budget, resources of all shapes & forms are at their limit, so we shouldn't be surprised.

If your supply voltage is less than 216V, the local transformer would need setting to a different tapping. Permitted range is 216-253V. It is a legal requirement. If voltage sags below 216V, but maximum can exceed 253V, they would have to change the transformer for one of a larger capacity, I suspect.

What voltage is yours sagging to? I just checked mine (as measured by my inverter) and it hasn’t sagged below 240V over the last few days with the daily averages being 245-248V.

UK power networks are our DNO in this region.

I reported it in this morning, they asked about the rest of the street, to which I replied I have not spoken to anyone here in 16 months & climbing due to covid, HOWEVER the voltage drop is common for both Electricity & signal drop out of telephony (overheating metal boxes) here for over a decade so please start out at the substation level for an area as a whole & work in.

Because they just want to look at the fuse board of anyone who reports it, the phone people don't seem to understand that with EV for instance this sort of drop is easily seen & noted over time, they are just not up to speed.

I suspect there are going to be a lot of these brown out events more and more as folk buy more EVs and heatpumps. At the moment I am probably the only one out of 25 properties with either an EV or heatpump sharing the local transformer. Everyone has multiple vehicles so if they all end up electric, thats a lot of 7kW chargers on the go.

Cool, not seen that before! I’m only a few miles from a 132kV/33kV/11kV substation which is probably why I don’t see much voltage sag.
