While not everyone understands the correct ways of measuring / expressing power and energy, they have no hope if we don’t use the correct units.

If someone points out an error we should learn and make corrections where necessary, lest we confuse someone down the line.
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
5x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (12kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger

(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)

My understanding is that the Zappi is rated at 1W standby power.
Nah, it's 3 watts (I just remembered to check) ..good enough, miles off (another contextually incorrect terminology) the rolec wastage.

What does impress me with zappi is the in-house design & assembly (no idea about component sourcing) ..all under their control.

Very easy to change your tethered unit for another "head" if needed, plus cheap spares cost to keep it ticking over.
(There is also, commendably very minimal price difference between tethered & untethered, unlike other companies)

Don't forget to post details when it happens.

I've recently found a replacement under warranty zappi mk2 unit with a suspected basic failure local to me that is worth a punt on which is why I was looking over units "again" just waiting for details as to the passcode being present (it's already removed from property & owners) otherwise potentially locked out & useless.

Now to find some cheap SWA.

I have and its about £1,500 and I that's before fitting !

Only advantage for me is that it can be integrated into my Sunny Manager but would not actually do anything special for me anyway.

Well I didn't win the Zappi mk2 so am still looking, have found a few recently installed but changed jobs "no longer needed" units since then, so have been checking out the technical data.

At this point I can only say regardless of how much video praise was heaped on the brand "Hype" rvolt, by Artisan Electrics, stay away, based on my experience with them.

Not even if it was free.
