24kWh battery replacement. Approx £5,500 (inc VAT) depending on supply cost of a battery, if one can be found in good condition.
30kWh battery replacement. These are harder to price as good 30kWh batteries are hard to find due to a tendency to degrade quicker. If a battery can be found the installation is £1,500 (inc VAT) plus battery cost.
40kWh battery replacement. Current price £8,900 inc VAT and fitting.
62kWh battery replacement. Priced at £13,500 inc VAT and fitting. This installation includes upgraded rear suspension springs and lowering brackets to get the bigger battery to fit.

There's a Dutch company called Muxsan which is also developing/has developed a CCS conversion and higher DC charge rate pack for the Leaf - not sure how much that costs as it's not officially for sale on their website yet but on their Twitter feed they talk about it being around €2500.

Heard back from Cleevely. No battery packs at 62kWh size and a waiting list for any that come in. No V2 anything planned. A shame as I like the idea of the wee Leaf motor and a huge battery pack pushing a possible 330mile range.

Did you consider the Kia EV6? If not, why not? Sounds like at least as good specs as the Ioniq 5.

Good question Gman, for all my embrace of EV's I am at heart a groover on style. I5 has it in spades while the EV6 looks a lot like a lot of other cars. If I am going to drop 50k on my first new car I will choose 8bit & Tron look any day. Basically, for this decision I took style over substance(larger pack).

In the end you do grow tired of thinking about where you'll place the money. No car will be perfect. For me Hyundai was the 1st mob to have a properly publicised embrace of V2L. No expensive machinery strapped to homes as a caveat.

As JL said 'Power to the People'. Admittedly, people with 50k to spend. Nonetheless...V2 anything is I think massively important and it seems to be a step that has been largely avoided by the manufacturers. I'm all for it.

The I5 has left Korea and dealer drop off date has leapt forward from 11th March to 6th Feb!
