Small speedbump on the road to solar mobile independence. Ecoflow bifacials arrived but one is only outputting 15V. :(

We'll see how good/convoluted the returns process is with them. Might see if I can keep the good one and return the junk one.

That's the first panel I've had doa.

Frustrating when things don't work!
I was looking at those ones too, thinking they would be a good size for van use - the full size 400-500W 'normal' panels are a lot cheaper, but probably too large to fit on most vans

Nothing back by mail. Tried phone for the 8th time and got through to a very professional lassie. Apparently the expediting team will be in touch and get a single panel on its way to me. Finger's crossed!

Had a quick check of the inverter and working fine.

Been out with swmbo and I've scored a bendy led light, a travel kettle and a Guiness mug. All going in the van and all in a tenner!

Away to test the kettle on the inverter (of course).

Sadly we ran.out of sun. Conclude tomorrow hopefully.

A horrible feeling to drill through the Fibreglass monocoque!

Cables are into cupboard. Did some panel measurements and they'll both fit without blocking either skylight. In an odd turn I measured up and I only need one cross spar to be able to bolt with panels securely. Had a quick look in a shed on the off-chance I had something and sure enough a coated rectangular section within 2mm of the size I needed what's the odds?

Iain, it's a combination of swmbo & myself. This piece of box was from a moveable seat rack that hels 40 odd folding chairs and was from swmbo. I've found some short lengths of 16mm sq DC cable to get the power off the solar controller (they were defo hoarded). The Victron SC is in place with its DC jumper cables attached. Ran out of light so tomorrow I'll hook up the breaker for the panels, connect the jumper cables and measure for the 25mm sq DC runs to battery. :D

I'll actually have to buy something!.

Not heard back from ecoworthy so hopefully a panel is on its way.

Running total
£165 Bifacial 195W panels 2 of
£34 DC isolator, cable entry & Y's
£130 1kW inverter
£67 MPPT Charge controller
£64 25mm sq cable (12 mtrs, other project covered)
£14 busbar x 2
£12 battery isolation switch
£486

42kWh LFPO4 storage
7kW ASHP
200ltr HWT.
73kWh HI5
