Our sub station is from 1973 when the village was 1/3 the size

When we moved here I found I couldn't use my inverter welder so I took it back to the supplier as it was under warranty. They tested it and said it was ok. Tried again here and no it wouldn't work. I decided to measure the voltage and found it to be 265v. Rang the DNO and they had someone round within the hour. He was going to cut our supply off, as he said it was dangerous, but he managed to get a crew in to change our transformer. (We are the only one on it). On removal they told us it showed signs of lightening damage and it was only rated at 5 KVA.

Since then we have had 3 phase installed with a 100KVA transformer.

What’s your grid voltage? I’m at 243V.

Only going via the app 240 - 244v right now.

Finished charging at 6.13 am, this morning @100% ..which we set from 85% max cap to 100% in case this carried on over coming days.
Took 14 hours to achieve 100% SOC.
What hope for winter if this is the new normal?

Wife left to see a patient just a few minutes later, enough time to pre-heat the car from 14c to 21.5.

Have you checked your sag rate ?, i.e. how much voltage you lose per kW you import.

Measure the mains voltage, then turn on say 3kW of appliances, then measure the voltage again.

My sag rate is about 1V per 1 kW import and I have no problems.

I don't know if there is anything you can do DNO wise but I am interested if your sag rate is much higher which may explain your problem.

And do it once your solar has finished for the day, and try during the peak period, say 7pm, so just after the solar has shut off.
