There was a story a year or two back (probably on St Elsewhere) which showed new fleet PHEV cars practically never plugged in for that reason. I recall we were all shocked by this but then when you think about it, those fleets would now or soon be on the second hand market where they would be more likely to be plugged in by their private owners.

Loads of people got company Outlander PHEVs for the cheaper BiK tax and never took the charging cable out of the packaging.
