Most of the manufacturers repair kits seem to use pvc strips so glues comparable with pvc should be equally compatible with the awning material.

I found what appears to be a uk agent that does fitting the might be of use to you JB ? Apologies if you’re already aware of them

Thanks Moxi, found that yesterday. Another member has kindly offered us a section of old awning. I'll play about with it and see what we can do. I kind of like the idea of the 25 year old van looking good but having some age related scars. :D

What the experts call patina iirc 😄, couldn’t agree more, I like honest repairs and up cycling myself.

We have resorted to the WBS tonight because some (me) left bot log cylinders open over Xmas and we’ve run out of gas till tomorrow so no hot water unless it’s stove top or kettle. Not done that for ages and typically it’s a minus night and snowing outside :? Not a big issue and actually nice to use the WBS for a change

Same here on wbs, down to -1 at the moment. Still heating the RV. Me n No1 are off to Braemar tomorrow for a couple of nights in the van. It's pretty much ready for distance trips. Drop fluids and change filters. Good to go! I'm hoping to hit the Amalfi coast this year if time allows. Patina, good word!

Minus 4 here in Braemar which is an improvement on Inverurie minus 6. :D

Domestic cold water pick up pipe from tank is frozen so I'll be needing to insulate that. Other than that all good! 👍

Icicles are melting on van as the sun is out now.

Yip, lovely and sunny here too, just cleared the snow from the panels on my garage to get some watts. :D

It’s a tropical 1 degree here but overcast skies and a modest 200 to 300 watts incoming - enough to meet the house base load and leave the stack at 79% SoC for now.

Minus 8 brrrr :freezing: we are supposed to be seeing twenty to forty cm of the white stuff later - we shall see.
