If your Ioniq comes before my iD4 I will not be happy!
That scenario did flash past. I hope not, have you got a date? I have asked for name of vessel and will track on marine traffic. There is a little bit of static going on out there in I5 world regarding the larger battery and downgrade of spec due to chip shortage.
Simpler to cut the knot and crack on. I found one on ebay the other day that three grand over new list price on its spec!
The fleet dealer has been great. The car I am getting is a cancellation. Just waiting on my £300 deposit back from Arnold Clark for the 78kWh version not ordered. Phew, didn't expect this to go on quite so long or to be convoluted.
Build date has been pushed from "week 48 2021" to "week 6 2022". I'll get it sometime in March I guess!
I've ordered the "Pro Performance Max" in "Mythos Black". However I've never seen a black one. Common colour in the states it seems but none in the UK. Lots of "Manganese Grey" in the UK (it is a dark grey that looks a bit like black). "In stock" models are going for a silly premium, eg this one is £10k more than I'm paying for mine! https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-detail ... 2300882052
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
5x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (12kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger

WOW, that is mental! TBH, the minute the penny dropped on.possible downgrades in upcoming I5 cars I thought better get it ordered. The Leaf cost us £8750 at 20k and approaching 2 years of ownership and 32k its £10,440. Madness! Tidy car you have coming BTW.

Hyundai Aberdeen Been in touch to refund the deposit. Hyundai Shrewesbury started the paperwork for swmbo new car. What a year already!
Had a look at electric juice app. Should be a doddle to get up the country. Should only be one stop for a charge, (take it off my Wind Turbine credit why don't ye)? .
Also Paid SSE for the upgrade, apparently it can take up to 8 weeks to do, so should be done a fortnight before collecting the car.

Have you tried Zap-map? I’ve been planning my trips to Cornwall in May and Devon in August.
Devon (235miles) should be easily one hop. Kids will require at least one stop!
Cornwall (304miles) will require one stop for charging, am thinking of splashing the cash on Collumpton Ionity (200miles). Kids will need several stops!
Both holidays have AC charging on site. Am thinking this “range anxiety” thing is nonsense with current BEVs!

We have zapmap, it is excellent. The Electric juice app map was surprising as I was looking at Bolton maybe for a fast charge stop after leaving Shrewsbury. It's only 100 miles, need to try harder! A touch surprised at ionity 425kW chargers being 66p per kWh. In saying that I've not charged out in the wild for a long time! 66p/4×30=£5 per gallon on the old 30mpg scale. I'll find a couple of 40p per options in the North. As you say Stinsy, the mileage of these units makes for a whole new game. Excellent!

I’ve been on a bit of a journey regarding Ionity. And I haven’t got my BEV yet!
I’m naturally a tightarse so the 69p/kWh seems usuriously expensive when 30p or 45p seems to be the going rate. However the cheaper chargers are likely to be 50kW, it is likely that only one or two cars can charge simultaneously, and many have a reputation for unreliability.
On the way to a family holiday, with wife and kids in the car, £15 for a partial charge at a guaranteed-working, guaranteed-fast, likely to be available, charger seems to be a price worth paying. Particularly when I’m already paying £3k for the holiday accommodation!

I agree, I'd rather have fast charging and a decent reliable system. Funny eh, looking at 50kWh and thinking 'is that it'? All being equal we will be heading into France Early Summer to see some mates. Hoping by then to be on the Tesla Network too.

You should easily make Ionity Gretna from Shrewsbury! Then you’re fuelled to the finish!

Sounds good to me. Just had a look at the charging network in Europe, not a problem there either! It looks as if I am a getting this car at a fleet discount which is surprising. Once the dust settles and I have the car I will show prices and specs as a comparison. Apparently the vehicle is going on the RORO in Korea on the 8th Jan. I have found other I5's at over retail price out there and i'm sure it will be the same with the Model Y on its arrival to the UK.
. I'll have to take a kettle in my backpack on the way down so I can power myself a cuppa on the way back up. Oh yes!!
