"Although parking in the area is limited while construction continues, the development will still have a council-owned car park meaning visitors to the city centre and shoppers will not miss out. The triple basement car park will offer 225 spaces, including 16 blue badge spaces, plus room for bicycles and motorbikes.

The council has also promised security will be boosted too. The new car park will initially provide 10 per cent of its spaces with electric vehicle charging points with the infrastructure put in place to expand this to 100 per cent to meet future demand.

That, round here is actually one heck of a lot of EV charging under one roof! ..I'm hoping that the council do better than just selling the spaces off to various charging companies, Cambs county council has a few solar farms that it owns & really ought start up a city charging venture, I get the feeling that right now they don't have enough foresight to provide E-motorbike charging bays in with all that, another area overlooked.

I got excited when I read the above, (really) as a departure from the norm, the biggest car park EV charger set up we experience outside of tesla superchargers, is queensgate car park in peterboro(ugh) as it ought really be named, which has for a few years 7? out of around 2300 car parking spaces set in one aspect of the 3 +1 over the road bridge individual multi storey car park segments.
