Lots to digest here from yesterday's announcements by Gridserve, but it does all seem to be good news. Not only the pace with which they're replacing all the old Ecotricity chargers on the existing "electric highway" network, but also their ambitions for many more brand new Electric Forecourts like the one at Braintree.

I believe they're charging 24p/kWh. Can't confirm though as when I went there for the Fully Charged Press Launch I got a free vend.

24p is reasonable. I've heard 75p being charged at some fast chargers!

24p/kWh is incredibly reasonable for ultra rapid charging if you think about it.

There is another expanding national charging network that is charging 70p/kWh yes, and that's Ionity.

Although if you drive an Audi or a Porsche you can get Ionity charging for less than that.

I agree, especially when there is VAT at 20%, hardly anymore than standard domestic (peak) prices if you add the extra VAT.

Ionity will be £72p/kWh if its not already (price changes between 1st and 8th July), plus a fixed 35p transaction charge according to the email I received from Shell. :o
