Breakdown of new car sales in the UK by powertrain, and by manufacturer. Realise that one month alone doesn't paint the full picture, but that's a big chunk of EVs.

And that's with European manufacturers' supply to the UK almost certainly being throttled, as, I believe, EV sales in UK don't count towards EU emission regulations any more.

I bet 60-ish percent of all new cars were diesel only a few years ago...

In 2016, diesel cars were basically at parity with petrol cars for overall market share, essentially 50%.

Government 2030 target for no new ICE only cars is looking pretty doable!

And despite all the bad headlines over Christmas about queues at Superchargers, a record number of public electric vehicle chargers were installed in UK in 2022, more than 8,700 chargers installed, bringing total to 37,000, a 30% increase in 1 year. But I expect its lagging behind the increasing growth in the EV fleet.
I think Norway is now over 80% BEVs, and some manufacturers have already stopped offering ICE vehicles to the country at all.
