A year into ownership (albeit in the south of france) this gay couple are quite funny to watch, having thrown themselves into it as Elton, their "nearly car" ..mode of transport (though there is a moped also)

It certainly does highlight the highs & lows of ownership, minimal ventilation, heating, glass roof in summer, very limited speed etc, but does a lot to make you think as a covered short range vehicle it could be viable, certainly are a lot of them already in france it seems (schoolkids who used to be Motobécane kids in my yoof are now Ami drivers (a video visiting a local school shows that very clearly)

They do the silly stuff, add ons (of which fans have stayed, through to trying to solar charge via a portable panel & battery set up, ...I see a joeboy turkish solar mini moke flexible solar roof canopy charger, type joint venture soon ..just don't tell his missus.


Big "over the border" shop in the Ami

There is one in our Turkish village. I had a look around it and spoke to the Father & Son last time there. Seen it knocking about for about a year and a half I think. They.highly rate it and there's more storage space in there than you'd first think.

They also live 1/2 way up the mountain out of the village and its not a problem. It's an excellent resort type vehicle for out nipping about within 50k or so and lets face it, thats most journey's. We've also got a local Renault Twizzy, some seriously cool fat tyred ebikes, e trikes, e buggies and e scooters too both mod & streetkid varients. Its pretty excellent to see them all zipping about.

Keep trying to make a buy case for a Twizzy!

Enjoying the latest "me & mon ami" episode, it really is brave of them in a little BEV to handle as many hills as they do!

Divine scenery, mega narrow streets to drive & walk around & they squeak back thanks to downhill re-gen, had me grinning a few times.
