This issue of boiling off H2, as it warms/expands, does that also apply to HFC cars if parked up and not in use?

In short, yes.
I remember watching a video of the BMW 7 series with a hydrogen combustion engine and even with a double-layered vacuum insulated H2 tank, it'll empty itself of all its H2 after a couple of weeks. It has a boil-off pressure release valve on the roof to vent the gas.

Which is why you're not allowed to park H2-powered vehicles indoors.

I'd completely forgotten about the venting required in cars, so sitting at an airport for a few weeks in summertime means you could come back to a low / empty hydrogen powered car in theory!? ..how does this affect airport parking, multi-storeys in general, ...hmm

Likely that hydrogen cars will have to be parked in designated compounds for airports & the like d'ya think? (cost absorbed by everyone)

There's no way you'd be able to use the Channel Tunnel in a Hydrogen car that's for sure.

There's a lot of liability & limitations don't y'think folks?
