EV Charging Issues

Just for info.
I have a egolf for the past 3 years charged perfectly fine for ages and then I moved to Octopus for a cheap night time rate, for a while no issues then VW updated their app to the most useless thing imaginable.
Difficulty in charging began with car not charging over night, deleting and reinstalling app, deleting car from octopus- waiting for them to get it added back on……
Needed a quick expensive afternoon charge and guess what, wouldn’t start, decided to look at charging lead.
Not sure what connections were meant to look like but decided to give them a spray of electrical contact cleaner.
Quick spray inside the terminals of both end of the lead, quick shake off, plug in and started charging straight away.
So maybe issues all along were electrcial connections not making full contact to allow charging and I thought it was software related, stopping the car charge.
Anyway good fix, glad it worked, might help someone else out
