Not a fan of podpoint chargers from past experience so if EDF manage to improve them I am all in favour.

We have PodPoints at the office. Hope they continue to function!

Personally I think we're going to see a lot of consolidation in the CPO field in the next few years - it's not sustainable to have so many - well over 100 in the UK alone.

Occasionally they don’t stop after 5 mins, even better when it’s a 22kw one

would work on my 800V EV6 and apparently 20 to 30 % faster charge for 400V architecture - not convinced though.

I just spent the last four days visiting some sites around Kent so I have charged away from home a few times, the biggest charger i use is a Muxton near Telford, that gets me from 20% back to 100% faster than it takes me to eat a Mcdonalds burger and fries (25 minutes) the rest of the time i used a 75kW charger at the hotel which normally topped me back up to 100 % for the next day while I showered and changed ready for my evening meal, so I would park at one of the four chargers plug in start the charge head up up shower change and come back down, finish the charge move the car to a parking bay and then have my meal - effortless.

now the weather has finally warmed up a bit I am back to full 320 mile range on the EV 6 which also helps as I did circa 963miles over the trip.

As Stinsey often says more smaller chargers and some good amenities is more useful than one or two big super chargers.

It’s up to the site owner to set the tariffs of course.
Back in the early days free 7kW chargers were everywhere but times have certainly changed!


I think we charge 25p/kWh except at 4-7pm when it goes to 50p or something like that. But we’re not really doing it as a profit first business!
