Be interesting to see how this goes - both for non-Tesla owners and their experience of Superchargers, but also how Tesla owners will react to seeing non-Teslas charging up next to them!

This from a chap in The Netherlands at one of the open access sites and his Hyundai Kona BEV.
Got a peak of 55kW and was charged €0.59/kWh - that's basically double the cost for Teslas at the same location. Very interesting.

Another non-Tesla checking out the Dutch open access Superchargers - this time a Mach-E.
Rather dodgy parking to get the cable to the charging point though!
Apparently he only saw a peak of 37kW but by his own admission "the battery was already nearly full".

I was hoping it would b cheaper. At that price I'd still elect to take my diesel on a long journey. Works out similar price without the faff. Wrong attitude I know but keeps the peace and turns an 18 hour journey into an 11 hour one.

Tesla have made it clear non-Teslas will pay more than Teslas at the same charger at the same time of day. I think the point is that you're supposed to charge regularly at home and see the cost of €0.59 is a bit steep though!

In this instance I'd like to see it a bit cheaper to encourage uptake & kick start the second hand market.

I don't need car marque snobbery, I'm just happy to see another EV when parking up at homebase.

Tesla has always said that part of the cost of the car is to pay for the Supercharger network - so I guess if you don't have a Tesla that makes sense to pay extra. Although I have previously moaned about the high cost of Ionity for non-Ionity founder member owners (VW/Audi/BMW/Mercedes), so I guess that makes me a blazing hypocrite

Either way I think it's a good thing it's been trialled - the SuC network is huge and works. Which is more than can be said for most, if not all, of the non-Tesla HPC charger networks around the world.

Oh that's more interesting. The subscription of 13 euros gets you a much better rate of .24 euros per kWh. And break even is just below 40kWh which makes long journeys worthwhile. It'll be still a hard sell to the family.
