Reporting this to the forum as the media on the new battery chemistry is one whereby it says its more prone to cold weather range loss than regular li-ion
Well, it is hovering between 1 & minus 1c according to the external sensor (sunny day) at 10.30 am ..the interior of the car was at 5c having done a school run this morning (several hours before) & been defrosted (ice, ice baby) at around 7.35 am
Range on the app is reported to be 251 miles capability at 100% SOC (it was on 83% pre-heating to go out & give training)
No drama right?
Whilst I know this isn't the extreme of Joe / Aberdeen / Edinburgh / the Highlands & islands it does give an idea of "first winter" in a very wind blown edge of the fens new battery chemistry real world potential / scenario.
Will log a few this winter temps & range notes as it looks like this chemistry will be more widespread in upcoming vehicles.
