Bio fuels screwing up engine seals (BMW MINI)

Just as a heads up..

I'm seeing this reported *what seems like* nearly every day on mini forums as problems experienced by old thru to fairly new cars now America & uk especially as they are big sales markets for the BMW MINI.

Whilst the govt listing shows as being deemed "fine" for the E10 fuel it seems this is not the case.
Owners taking the non premium option for a fill up are reporting juddering, starting hesitancy, etc.. which whilst other things can be involved (naturally) their is somewhat of a slew of new folk asking for help with their cars.

Doubtless some of you will have a Mini owner in the familial circle.

Bit of a fail that drives people to premium fuel & brings doubts as to suitability in either the short or long term.

The other thing that worries me about so-called "green" fuels is the amount of palm oil that goes into them. https://www.rainforest-rescue.org/updat ... f-so-green
Better to completely do without internal-combustion engines (especially diesels) asap.

AE, yes I agree, however the secondary, third, fourth hand EV market is not there by a long shot yet, in the meantime this has grand royale eff up potential in the making that may actually create a lot of expense & anger at various govts "not out problem mate, strive for green"
