Installation take 2
Half of the scaffolding went up last week, the other half was DEFINITELY coming yesterday in time for the installation team to come this morning....
Guess what, no scaffolding team!!
But, a delivery arrived with a complete new set of panels and the original Sunsynk inverter and battery and some rails and brackets!!!
Installation team also arrived, started trying to install the panels on 1 side - guess what, the new brackets are still wrong, and the rails are also wrong!!!!
Not sure why this is sooooo complicated, seems like the left had doesn't have a clue what the right hand is doing.

I'm off to bang my head against a brick wall

Its why I prefer to do most of the work myself, if I feck it up, no one else to blame, but its getting harder as I age, pain in my back, neck, shoulders, etc.

And it really winds me up when you pay good money to so called professional installers and they still cannot get it right. But sounds like its at least happening, it will be worth it when done.

I know what you mean about doing things yourself - I prefer to when I can - but I'm not good with heights, no chance of me climbing on the roof & fitting panels etc!!
It will be good when its done - they've fitted the inverter and battery in the loft, so 1 step forward and all of the installation guys seem to be good, professional, knowledgeable, it's just the office organising who might struggle with any kind of event to be held at the place where beer is made

I'm trying not to get too wound up - unfortunately I'm missing the best part of the year for generating.

Installation take 3 was due today - on Friday they rang up and said they can't put up the scaffolding, due to needing incoming mains electrical wiring covers and that I need to contact the electrical grid company to arrange it (the ones they told me the scaffolder was bringing 3 weeks ago!).
I've sorted that out, fairly simply - if only they had known this say 2 months ago when the surveyor came round, or when either of the installation teams came round.......
Anyway, that didn't stop a courier van turning up this morning with...yes, you guessed it - the 3rd complete set of solar panels, battery & inverter!!!
I should have just held onto all the extra sets and sold them to the neighbours at 1/2 price as compensation for their complete and utter uselessness

I was reading an article the other day talking about coincidences were quite ridiculous series of events simply occasionally happen due to probability. Congratulations, you've won the negative lottery.

It will be worth it, this time next year when leccy is £1 a kWh, you'll look back and grin ear to ear.
