another ex-pat GLF

#1

Post by milton »

Greetings!

Here under my actual name, having retired from the off-grid world some years back, so now no association with any particular company, installation, ideology.

I remember when ... settings were done by jumper blocks on live circuit boards, logging usage by modified battery alarm clocks, and f̶a̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ augmenting the off-griddery by running gennies when no visitors. Not an "app" in sight. 6V "submarine" batteries anyone?

3 x 2V cells + ‾🔋/🔋/🔋_-, with fixed busbars across to make batteries of 6V - for some value of 6V! Like the Trojan ones.

UPDATE: Busbars to be double taped, and varnished, the cells to be wedged in their holders with wooden wedges soaked in paraffin wax, and trimmed with a special saw ...
