That took me quite a while to find, I know your probably struggling with your phone in Crete.

User_Control_Panel > Board_Preferances > Edit_Display_Options > Number of Recent topics to show > (Edit to the number of topics to show)

And if you like the last posts on the bottom like the old forum, in "Edit_Display_Options" , change "Select Location" to "Show on bottom"

just to throw a fly toward the ointment / feedback.

I use both PC & tablet, both display new / latest posts on the top / bottom (each differently) just bear it in mind if accessing via multiple means.

Cheers Nowty! Mr Gus, further flies, my laptop, desktop and mobile all display most recent at top. Wee vagaries of device coding I think ?

The location can be set in the User Control Panel but the resolution of the device is also taken in to account, or even if you just resize the browser window.

Some (one) other forum I frequent has the posts in each thread numbered. It makes it a lot easier to refer someone back to a particular post (in the thread or a Private Message) without having to type out the full date and time...

There is an add-on for numbering. I'll take a look at implementing it.

Thanks, but that's an interesting way to do it... given that it is numbering posts overall it coud get to a pretty big number. Is there an option to just number posts within threads? That way most would stay at a manageable size...
