Hi
Yes totally off grid power wise, we do have mains water
3 oversized for mppt controller arrays so max out at 1600kwhr per array
2kwhr wind turbine
8kva 1500rpm generator running on recycled diesel from our business
3 x 1000amph c5 rate battery packs
Two in series parallel and third in emergency reserve

Use victron inverters and Morningstar mppt
30k wood burning stove 6k to room rest to ufh and upstairs rads and dhw this system for automation has a 22kwh pellet boiler in series for want of better description
House is large 175sqm each of 3 floors
Stone built no wall insulation except the rubble infil they use here, massive slab and roof insulation
Place is always warm, the Roman wall building method seems to work
We have been here 12 years 8 in the finished house

Pellet boiler was to replace ashp which failed after short life, we see a lot of failed beyond economic repair ones in our work, so pellet boiler seems great so far but pellets have gone up from 3€ a 15kg bag to €9 a 15kg bag still cheap per kw but ….

Sorry, more questions, as I'm adding you to the secret list,
https://camelot-forum.co.uk/phpBB3/view ... f=13&t=922

Do you know your average annual Solar and Wind generation in kWh ?

And are your batteries 48V ?

Do you know how many tons of concrete in your UFH ?

How many litres are your hot water tanks / thermal stores, I'm sure you must have one or two ?

I have victron vrm but never sat down and worked out consumption usage
No time..
Happy to post vrm charts if you want to look

The ufh 5” insulation 5” concrete the ufh pipes then screed
Then tiles
Upstairs rads 13 total
2x 300ltr dhw tanks in series
5 x bathrooms
House is 175sqm on each of 3 floors
This year we ordered in 7 corde of wood
We live in a forest, but the sawn split and seasoned wood is so cheap delivered it’s not worth my time yet

On an aside an American client we rewired his holiday home for was complaining of excessive consumption, pretty sure it’s the Infathomable blys thermostat

But bit that struck me was the tariff I got him on without economy hours, flat rate of 14c kw if you have economy hours the day rate goes up, another American client ex edf employee did the sums, if you use 68% of your power off peak you break even
Off peak hours here alter area to area and include a burst at lunchtime and some all weekend

I can work with that, cheers.

Final thing, I'm assuming your battery banks are 48V ?

Love the 3rd battery bank as an emergency reserve.
