Morning from sunny Manchester.

New to the group but have been lurking for a while :)
Mainly joined for the solar PV side, had a 3.6kw Givenergy hybrid inverter, panels and a 8.2 kw battery installed at the end of last summer. Didn't expect how much we end up exporting so looking at diverters. As the PV installation cleared out all my funds for toys, diverters, hot water tanks will have to be cheap and second hand hence me finding this site for the Immersun repair.

Picked up a faulty Immersun, exploded triac but no terminal plugs grrrrrr. Anyone found which replacement are best?

Matt.

Sorry cant help you there but welcome to the community, there are some others more knowledgeable about such matters.

I bet your still glad you went for the PV and batteries though, at this time of year its laugh at your leccy supplier time.

Hello

Exploded triac? I think i had that with immersun repair no.1 :)

Can't offer much help on the terminal plugs, but as some folk had failures with the originals they just soldered the wires direct to the board.

Although I don't know about the triac, regarding terminal plugs, I have used these, they are one piece and rated to 24A, the original 2 piece plug and socket ones where only rated to between 12 and 15 amps depending upon the manufacturer so where a bit marginal with a 3 kW immersion heater. This is the only failure I have had in 9 years.
