Hello all

I'm Jim, an A&E Doctor with a long hobby list including brewing, building "stuff", welding/repairing cars, most stuff to do with IT/computers, and a bit of solar power dabbling so far. two 190w panels and a chinese micro inverter have been putting a few watts into my house since last year.

Hopefully picking up some second hand solar panels tomorrow which are all 250w and should have 8 of them which I hope to deploy on shed rooves and easily accessible bits of the house roof as part of "project baseload", which is probably self explanatory. Should I get that going well, we then get project "hot water", and in the future project "battery"

I'll put some more details in the PV forum when I get stuff.

Jim

Thanks!

Forgot to say I used to lurk on the other forum, I think I did post once in response to seeing Nowty's pit with plasterboard poles trying to hold the walls open, begging him to get some acro's in there.

Interested in your vertical microinverter setup mentioned in your sig...

I'm thinking of a solar wall shade for the back of our house that gets a bit toasty in the summer sun. .

:pot-stir:, welcome.

There is a less scary thread version here, which I have yet to finish off.
